Description of Duties and Reguirements: Assisting with all public relations and promotional activities related to public health and outreach programming for tick bite prevention, including organizing team planning meetings, contacting and managing relations with potential commercial participants and sponsors, coordinating point of sale publicity for tick control products and services, creating posters and other promotional materials, recruiting participation in focus group surveys, and maintaining donor relations. Applicants should have basic computer skills including database management and PowerPoint. Knowledge of web-based technology is a plus. Prefer applicant seeking 6-9 credits (25+ hours per week preferred). Up to $1,500 stipend upon successful completion. Summer employment ($10 -$12 per hour, may vary, per hour).
Class standing preferred: sophomore, junior, senior.
Semesters Available: fall, spring, summer.
